With no place to go and extra time on their hands during the coronavirus pandemic, more and more adults finally tackled those long put off, rainy day projects. They rummaged through attics, basements, closets, garages and junk drawers — to remove clutter, sure, but also to hunt down valuable treasures to share with family and friends, often in creative ways as this piece I wrote for AARP explains.
Nicole Lambert in Richmond, Virginia, for example, turned dozens of her grandfather's old keys into a wind chime (see her photo above).
So what interesting valuables did you find and what did you do with them? That is, valuable to you and not necessarily someone else. Although if you did find something worth a lot of money, I suppose that isn't so bad either.
